I also wanted to share my recent observations on Facebook which applies to other social media sites. Most people use a canned response when accepting friends. Part of what I write is standard since I offer a one hour free consultation. I looks as if people do not even read the profiles of the friends they accept. You can tell by the wall posts. As you point out, that is a mistake. Just this morning I have three business inquiries and two new connections on LinkedIn with you being one of them.
